Education and Training
Audrey Shank, M.D. grew up on the East Coast in Connecticut. She completed her undergraduate education at Mary Baldwin College in Virginia and worked doing research in a cardiology lab at University of Virginia for 3 years. From there she attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine where she met her husband, Greg, who is a surgeon at LUH. She completed medical school in 2001 and went on to do her specialty training in Family Medicine in Binghamton, NY.
In 2005, Audrey and Greg left the comforts of the US to work as the sole doctors at a 70-bed hospital in very rural northern Cameroon, West Africa. They returned to the US in late 2010, and settled in Reedsport, OR in January 2011. Audrey has worked in the LUHD ER, as well as the Eugene/Thurston Urgent Care system in Eugene, OR. In January 2014, she began working at the LUHD Walk-in Clinic, where she enjoys taking care of all types of patients and their illnesses. She especially has a heart for children.
Audrey and Greg have one daughter, Sarah, who lives close by. Together they enjoy hiking, backpacking, waterskiing, and traveling, as well as long walks on the beach with their awesome dog, Tucker.
