Education and Training
Dr. Piepmeier received a Ph.D. in pharmacy from Oregon State University. He continued his education at the University of Texas, where he received his M.D. Dr. Piepmeier served his residency at Saint Peter Family Medicine. He is board certified in Family Medicine.
While attending medical school, Dr. Piepmeier served as a professor at the College of Pharmacy, University of South Carolina and as an assistant professor at the College of Pharmacy, University of Texas. He also spent his summers at a University Resident Research Program Fellow, Air Force office of Scientific Research. He served six years as an emergency room physician at Lower Umpqua Hospital from 2006-2012, splitting his time between Reedsport and his family practice in Corvallis, Oregon. He spent two years from 2012 to 2014 in family practice at the Katterbach Health Clinic in Germany. We were happy to welcome him back to Lower Umpqua Hospital’s emergency room in 2014.
Dr. Piepmeier professional experience covers family medicine, including obstetrics, inpatient, outpatient and emergency medicine.
