Education and Training
Ken Wallenfelsz, ARNP, earned his Masters of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from Gonzaga University, College of Nursing in 2010. He earned his Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner credentials in Washington State in 2011.

Ken’s past experience includes managing six clinics and their staff in remote Alaska and independent work in emergency and urgent care clinics. Ken has many stories about practicing and living in Alaska, including the night he watched the Northern Lights in minus twenty degrees temperature. Most of the hues of the rainbow were present that night and it was just too beautiful to go back inside! He has been a volunteer fire fighter and has provided medical and construction services to the regional people overseas in multiple countries.

Ken is anxious to begin building his patient panel with Dunes Family Health Care and to provide primary care for the Reedsport area. Because of Ken’s extensive background in emergency and urgent care clinics he is also interested in providing care through the District’s Walk-in Clinic.

When he is not working, Ken plans to enjoy the many treasures of our area: canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, camping and traveling to explore Oregon and the “lower 48”.
