Douglas Johnson, D. O.
Osteopathy, Internal Medicine
Dr. Johnson graduated from Portland State University in 1974 with a B.S. in
Biology. He attended Physician Assistant School at Aldorsen-Broaddus College in
Phillipi, West Virginia from 1975-1978 and then West Virginia School of
Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia from 1978-1982.
He completed his internship & Internal Medicine residency at Flint Osteopathic
Hospital in Flint, Michigan in 1983. After two years of U.S .Public Health Corps
serving in West Virginia & then in downtown Indianapolis, he returned to
Michigan and opened a general internal medicine practice in Davison. While
there, he presided over the Internal Medicine Board Review Course for Internal
Medicine Residents at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. He also was the team physician
for the Davison High School athletic teams.
When Dr. Johnson closed his private practice in 2008, he did locum tenens
(temporary) work in Michigan for a year and then relocated to Oregon in 2010,
providing locum tenens coverage for physicians throughout Oregon. It was through
an assignment at Reedsport Medical Clinic in 2010 that he decided to put down
roots again. He is interested in music and art and looking forward to fishing in
his off time as well as helping with the athletic teams at Reedsport Community
Charter School.
