POSITION TITLE: Screener

Reports to: Patient Access Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The door screener is responsible for assisting, greeting and screening all patients, visitors, staff, and personnel before they enter the building; ensuring all CDC, local, state and federal guidelines are followed by individuals entering the hospital, and/or clinics. Assist in providing a safe and clean environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Greets all individuals upon entry to facility.
  2. Check temperatures and ask screening questions of all individuals.
  3. Determine purpose of visit.
  4. Ensure all individuals wearing masks or handing out masks as necessary.
  5. Answer general questions.
  6. Maintain required log of all patients, visitors, employees, and personnel.
  7. Maintain confidentiality.
  8. Have a clean and disinfected area, including but not limited to door knobs, thermometers, table, etc.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and License:

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

  3. Able to comfortably interact with a diverse population.
  4. Dependable and reliable.
  5. Ability to work with little supervision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work in and indoor or outdoor environment, which may be subject to temperature changes and elements of the weather.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Frequent use of standard office supplies, must be able to stand, sit, stoop, twist, kneel, reach, push, pull using proper body mechanics and move/lift varying amounts of weight to a maximum of 30 lbs.
