Job description:
Lower Umpqua Hospital seeks a full-time, Medical Technologist (MT or MLT).
A Medical Technologist has the appropriate educational background to perform laboratory procedures using established and approved protocols, which require the broad exercise of independent judgement and responsibility with minimal technical supervision; maintains equipment and records; performs quality assurance activities related to test performance; and may function as a leader or educator within the medical laboratory setting. The medical technologist performs a broad range of laboratory procedures.
Requirements:
Must have an MT or MLT certification, nationally recognized.
MLT must have AA in Physical Science.
MT must have Bachelor of Science Degree.
Appropriate on the job training plus minimum of 5 years prior experience in clinical laboratory setting, preferred.
ASCP or equivalent, BLS CPR within 60-days of hire. Candidate must be able to clear a criminal background check, clear a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana) and a physical agility test.
