Jason Sargent

Education and Training

Dr. Jason Sargent and his wife, Annie, joined the Reedsport community in 2015 after finishing his residency in Family Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Sargent graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2007 with a bachelor of science in Biology and completed medical school at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012. Dr. Sargent enjoys many aspects of medicine including general adult medicine, pediatrics, and sports medicine.

Dr. Sargent is board certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Sargent, his wife, and their two young sons enjoy being part of the Reedsport community. Their mutual love of camping, hiking, food, and their local church have made it easy to make roots in Reedsport. Dr. Sargent’s additional interests include landscape photography, backpacking, and spending time with his family.

Gregory Shank

Education and Training
Greg Shank MD, FACS was raised in Guam and West Virginia. He took one year out from college to volunteer in a small village in Papua, New Guinea. He graduated from Southern College in Collegedale, Tennessee with a BA in Chemistry and then attended Loma Linda School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California.

Dr. Shank completed his residency in General Surgery from Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania, in 2004. For five years after residency, Dr. Shank worked as the sole surgeon and Medical Director at l’hopital Adventise de Koza in Koza, Cameroon.

Dr. Shank is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the C (FACS). He has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery.

Interests
In his free time, Dr. Shank enjoys waterskiing, racquetball, mountain biking, backpacking, and most any other outdoor activity. He is married to Audrey Shank, MD and has a lovely daughter.

Agnieszka Dobiecka

Education and Training
Dr. Dobiecka is a board certified physician in internal medicine. She earned her MD in Poland and did her residency at Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut with multiple rotations at Yale University. She has worked in hospital medicine for almost ten years.

Interests
Dr. Dobiecka lives full-time in Ashland, Oregon with her spouse and two daughters. When she’s not at work, Dr. Dobiecka is a tennis fanatic and also enjoys gardening, mushroom-hunting, camping and rafting.

Christina Ford

Education and Training
Christina Ford, M.D. is a physician, board certified in Internal Medicine with a special emphasis in geriatrics.

Dr. Ford completed training at the University of Kentucky following medical school at the University of Louisiana. She worked as a hospitalist at Rogue Regional Medical Center for nine years and is currently in private practice in Medford when she is not at Lower Umpqua Hospital.

Interests
In her off time, Dr. Ford enjoys cycling, hiking with her dogs, watching college basketball, and working on her small farm.

Roma Sprung

Education and Training
Dr. Sprung studied biology at UC Santa Cruz and medicine in Grenoble, France. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine in Stamford CT. In 2003, she moved to the beautiful Rogue Valley where she has worked in primary care and hospital medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is delighted to be working as a Hospitalist at Lower Umpqua Hospital.

Interest
Dr. Sprung loves music, travel and great food. She plays the violin, guitar and viola da gamba and can be found playing Balkan folk music at cafes and dance halls whenever possible.

William Wallace W.

Education and Training
Dr. Wallace Webster was born in Omaha, NE and raised in Lafayette, CA. He received a BS in Biology at University of Nebraska in 1995 and a MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Montana in 1998. He received his MD at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS and completed his Internship in General Surgery in 2003 at University of California San Francisco-East Bay Program in Oakland, CA and his Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Oakland, CA in 2007. He is board certified through the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Webster is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, California Medical Association, East Bay Surgical Society, American Medical Association, and Oregon Medical Association.

William A. Bennett

Education and Training

Dr. William A. Bennett continues his growing practice in podiatric medicine and surgery. He specializes in ambulatory corrective foot surgery, heel and arch pain, nail and skin problems of the foot and diabetic foot care. Dr. Bennett welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.

• Dr. Bennett sees patients twice a month at Lower Umpqua Hospital’s Specialty Clinic at 385 Ranch Rd. behind the Reedsport Medical Clinic. His main office is located in Woodland Medical Village off Broadway, behind Bay Eye Clinic.

Interests
Dr. Bennett enjoys serving the community and feels very much at home as he grew up nearby. He attended Oregon State University and medical school in San Francisco. He completed externships at Veterans Administration San Francisco, Stanford, and Albuquerque. He did a surgical residency at Westside Hospital in Los Angeles where he trained under the direction of podiatric, orthopedic, and general surgeons and did rotations in radiology, internal medicine, orthopedics, pathology, neurology, and anesthesia, enabling him to correlate all aspects of medicine.

Stephanie Shiu

Education and Training

I was born in Brooklyn, NY, and grew up in New York City. After working and volunteering in the medical field, I saw the impacts of chronic disease on everyday life, thus strengthening my belief in preventative care and measures. I graduated from Loma Linda University in 2018 with my Master of Public Health in Nutrition and Dietetics. After graduation and obtaining my dietitian license, I began working on the Oregon coast in a critical care hospital and skilled nursing homes as a registered dietitian to ensure patients were meeting their nutritional and nutrition education needs. My office is in Reedsport Medical Clinic.

Interests

My hobbies revolve around food and anything related to food, including eating, cooking, and learning about it. I enjoy the outdoors and taking in what nature offers on the West coast with my boyfriend and our dog.

Ian Coe

Education and Training

Dr. Coe grew up in Corvallis and attended OHSU for medical school. While in medical school, he became interested in rural medicine during rotations in Klamath Falls and Coos Bay. For the last three years, he lived in Billings, MT where he completed his Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Coe likes being a family doctor because of the broad scope of practice and ability to form long term relationships with patients. He enjoy rural medicine, inpatient care, geriatrics, procedures, pediatrics, and public health.

Interests

Dr. Coe is glad to be back in Oregon and specifically to be living on the coast in Reedsport. His hobbies include woodworking, kayaking, crabbing, fishing, and hiking. He is looking forward to helping his patients live the healthiest lives possible and to becoming a part of the Dunes Family Health Care and Reedsport communities.

David Irvine

Education and Training

Dr. Irvine became interested in becoming a doctor when he was in first grade! His father, uncle and grandfather were all family doctors. He began assisting his father early in life with the wonderful experience of “scrubbing in” to assist with an appendectomy (something that would never happen in this day and age). He feels blessed that he had the opportunity to assisted his father on many occasions through high school, college and even into medical school, solidifying his desire to become a doctor.

Dr. Irvine attended medical school at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU), followed by participation in a Family Practice residency program in Spokane Washington. Once out of residency Dr. Irvine opened a solo practice in Albany, Oregon, where he enjoyed practicing for the next 36 years. He is a board eligible family medicine physician.

After retiring from his practice in Albany, Dr. Irvine began working part-time at various urgent care clinics in Albany, Lebanon, and now here at the Lower Umpqua Hospital District’s same-day clinic. He remembers his first experience with the Lower Umpqua Hospital when he was 12 years old and stepped on a broken beer bottle in Little Mill Creek in Scottsburg, where his family has owned a cabin since 1932. His father brought him to the emergency room in Reedsport and sowed his foot back together.

Interests

Dr. Irvine has three grandchildren who are part of the sixth generation to spend time on the lower Umpqua river. His wife, Lois, children, grandchildren, and his entire family, along with friends, feel blessed to spend time here and unanimously feel that “this is the best place in the whole world.”

Dr. Irvine feels blessed and honored to be part of the Lower Umpqua Hospital District.

Colton received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, with a
secondary major in Natural and Applied Sciences from Florida International University in 2019. He completed his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Florida International University in 2023.

In his spare time Colton loves to explore the Oregon coast with his wife and is looking forward to planting roots in Reedsport.
