JOB SUMMARY:

The Janitor is responsible for the cleaning and care of building and all floors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. General janitorial skills
2. Knowledge of floor care and equipment
3. Performs floor care and maintenance throughout the facility, includes hard surfaces and carpeting.
4. Cleans and performs routine maintenance on floor equipment; requesting assistance from plant operations and maintenance as needed.
5. Operates all equipment with care and according to facility and manufacturers safety standards and procedures.
6. Perform special project work and specialty tasks according to facility needs.
7. Must be willing to help housekeeping with cleaning
8. Practices critical thinking skills to include prioritization
9. Demonstrate personal accountability
10. Follow all infection prevention practices
11. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and License:

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Valid Driver’s license

Certifications:

None

Experience:

Previous floor care maintenance experience, preferred.

5. Ability to work without supervision

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works indoors in an air-conditioned environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, twist, kneel, reach, push, pull, walk, crawl, climb, bend and twist using proper body mechanics and move/lift varying amounts of weight to a maximum of 50 lbs.

This is a Part-Time position that is eligible for benefits.
