FDA authorizes second COVID-19 bivalent booster

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized a second COVID-19 bivalent booster dose for people ages 65+ and for some immunocompromised people.

• Adults 65+ and older are now eligible if it has been at least four months since they’re received a previous bivalent dose.

• Immunocompromised people are eligible 1 or 2 months after their previous bivalent dose, depending on age.

Persons age 6 and older are considered up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccinations if they have received a single dose of bivalent COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of any previous COVID-19 vaccination history. For questions or to schedule a vaccination, call Dunes Family Health Care at 541-271-2163
